Jeff Bezos makes no secret of his penchant for ultra luxurious super yacht and is believed to be upgrading his vessels to mega yacht proportions. At 417 feet long (127 meters), his new yacht will have several decks, and feature three gigantic black masts, according to reports in Bloomberg.
The ship is called the Y721 and it is reportedly made by Oceanco, a custom ship builder that produces some of the world's largest and most luxurious boats. Owned byOmani billionaire businessman, Mohammed Al Barwani, Oceanco is based in the Netherlands with the luxury magazine Robb Report confirming that Bezos has commissioned a design that is expected to be the world's largest sailing yacht when completed. As superyachts go, the Y721 is extremely large and too big to sail out of the harbour to go to the ocean, under iconic Dutch steel bridge, De Hef (literally translated as The Lift). Bezos has reportedly commissioned a support yacht with a helipad to travel alongside the titanic cruiser. The 246-foot shadow yacht known as the YS7512 will be the base for the Amazon billionaire's helipad, but it will also feature meeting spaces, and storage for his jets skis, water toys, and snorkelling and diving gear. According to Architectural Digest, it can accommodate up to 45 crew and guests.
Oceancohas declined to comment on the exact details of the yacht commissioned by Bezos, citing customer confidentially.
