Though it was once considered a niche market, new figures suggest that more than 10 million sailing holidays are taken each year - with new marinas and ports in the planning to keep up with the demand across the Caribbean isles. Most Caribbean islands have several options for docking, due to its huge popularity with the sailing scene. Western Caribbean itineraries typically include Grand Cayman, Jamaica, the Mexican Caribbean, and sometimes Central American destinations like Belize and Honduras.
